More About U.B.Special
This site allows groups of people to congregate and
write notes to an individual they think is special, telling
that person why they are so special.
This is called blessing someone.
A blessing usually goes like this:
- Someone decides to Start a
New Blessing and organize their friends to write notes
to an individual telling how special that person is. By
organizing the blessing, this someone
becomes the "Operator" of the blessing and receives an
administrative login for the blessing.
- The Operator receives simple instructions over email about
how to login and administrate the blessing.
For example, the operator receives instructions about how
to invite friends to be a part of the blessing.
- The invited friends come Join the Blessing
in Progress and leave their personal notes.
- The Operator monitors who has left
notes through the operation console,
and determines when the blessing is complete.
- The person being blessed either gets each note over email as it
is written, receives all the notes together at the end,
or receives instructions about how to Pick Up Their Blessing
here at the site (according to the Operator's preference).
This process can be immensely encouraging to the
receiver of the blessing!
